Pathology and Diagnostics

The Pathology and Diagnostics Division manages the collection, receiving, and processing of samples sent by stakeholders or clients. It conducts tissue-based diagnostics that include postmortem examination, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, cryo-section microscopy, and provides routine blood work-ups such as complete blood counts and blood chemistry, urinalysis and cytology as well.
The Division will also be engaged in research on innovative technological solutions such as development of rapid diagnostic tools using biosensors and nanobiosensor for biological research and clinical diagnosis for early detection of animal and zoonotic diseases.
